Following on from the success in 2014, when Omega Signs won the Asda Remodel Programme Supplier of the year award, their hard work has been recognised yet again at the GNFR Procurement Awards dinner last week. Despite stiff competition from over 400 suppliers Omega were pleased to walk away with the prestigious Best Supplier Operational Excellence award.
On making the award Asda commented on Omega’s ability to consistently deliver first class solutions and service.
Duncan Chapman Managing Director said, “We are delighted to receive this award. We put customer service and project delivery at the forefront of everything we do so it is great to know that we are delivering to the high standards that we set ourselves. I am really proud of all the team, they have worked really hard over the years and it is great to see all their efforts recognised.”
The event, which was held in Bradford, was for all the key suppliers responsible for delivering Asda’s GNFR products and services. Matt King, Senior Project Manager for Asda at Omega Signs said, “Over the years we have had to rise to a number of challenges to meet the changing needs of Asda. Whilst it can be demanding at times we have always managed to meet those challenges head on and, although it is nice to win awards, we have always taken great satisfaction from a job well done.”
Over and above the core work this year, Omega has recently been involved in designing and developing the new Asda logo into signage concepts. Working closely with Asda’s in-house design team they have generated signage specifications and prototypes which have recently been installed in the first flagship stores.
