August saw Omega celebrating 20 years in the signage business and from small beginnings back in 1992, today we now turnover in excess of £14m per year with over 90 employees.
To celebrate this major event we will be holding a number of events for both our customers and suppliers. However celebrations have already been kicked off with an event for all our employees and their partners in June. Everyone donned their best dresses and suits and headed off for an evening of fun at Doncaster races. Following an initial welcoming drink and a short speech from Duncan everyone tucked into a lovely 3 course meal in the Conduit suite which overlooks the course and provides great views of the finishing post. There was a short quiz about Omega and its history and then Doncaster’s famed course tipster came and provided the best gambling advice available mentioning some ‘possible winners’! Despite the rainy weather nothing could dampen anyone’s spirits and eager to try their luck the race goers strolled down to the bookies to place a sneaky bet on a horse or two. Whilst not everyone was a winner the tipster picked a few lucky employees to accompany him down to the winner’s enclosure to view the horses up close. The biggest winner of the evening was probably Patrick Gains who won a handsome sum on the second race ? and then promptly lost it on the third! But as we all know that is racing for you. It was a great ?do’ and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Duncan said, ”It was a fitting start to Omega’s birthday celebrations. We are really proud of what we have achieved over the last 20 years but could not have been done this without the commitment and loyalty of all our employees.”
